Happy belated Valentine's Day!
I'm glad that I've received a number of interesting comments on my blog from my former pupils (now 6J). However, I'm quite disappointed that their comments don't quite reflect the intellect that I know they possess. It's disheartening to read comments written in broken English or Singlish. It makes me wonder what I have done wrong as an English teacher. Didn't I teach them the importance of Standard English throughout my 2 years with them?
My greatest wish is that all my pupils will apply the lessons they've learnt in my class to their daily lives...is that too much to ask for?

Phoebe - I'm sure 6J pupils will listened to Mdm Anissa's teachings.
Derek - 6J pupils cannot speak broken English too, so Mdm Anissa is not biased.

6J pupils may speak broken english at times but that does not mean we do not listen to madam anissa's teachings. after all, some really good english speakers did not visit this blog... right?

I totally disagree this sentence from Phoebe "AS FOR THE P6 THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO ( YOU WHICH IS A WASTE)". We do listen to Mdm Anissa, fo your info. And stop being so (ehh....what's the word?) bossy if you want to be a teacher's pet. It is like as though you are very good like that. You know that if you type in caps, it means you are shouting and that's very damm rude (sorry for using damm but im really angry at this student). I hope you can understnad what I am saying. Thanks. hey... i mean, of course, there should not b any disagreements btwn p6 and p5 n i m not taking any sides here but, Phoebe, i think that u should turn down abit and don't be so straightforward. and please, check your facts bfore accusing others. Morever, u do not know if all P6J pupils speak/type like that. Perhaps you should check out the facts first before accusing anyone of not speaking any proper english. ( this is called a compromise. See, i did listen to Madam Anissa!) other students may find it too offending if they ever read your comments and that would result in a tiff. Best wishes to Phoebe and all those out there, esp me friends... i sincerely hope that phoebe would take my advice and tone down abit. that would be great. I am not trying to blow up this matter. it is just that i m practising my negotiating skills. Thank you.

i totally agree with wen yun. that "phoebe" has really gone a little overboard. Fancy her giving comments like that. I thought youngers ougt to look up to their elders.Anyway most of us 6J pupils have listened to mdm anissa and most of us speak..well...almost perfect english.O again i agree with wen yun the fight for our tarnished reputation cannot stop

Hi Madm Anissa.You did nothing wrong and i believe that your p6 pupils always listen to you when you talk.And will remember to speack proper english instead of singlish.
Hey Mdm Anissa! I was wondering, why your former P6 class is so mad with our class's Phoebe Choong? After all those funny comments the p6 made, I'm more confused than ever.(P6s, please do not be offended.) Well, I hope us P6 and P5 will continue to learn standard english,at the same time,younger students should look up to their older students and respect them.
