News In Class
Yesterday, I conducted a lesson based on the News In Class programme for 6 Kindness. This programme aims to develop comprehension, oral and writing skills among pupils. It is also a platform for pupils to learn more about what's going on around them. I really hope that the class will benefit from this programme. I also hope that English lessons will be more interesting with News In Class.

Tomorrow, I hope to conduct another lesson using News In Class. The focus would be on oral or presentation skills.

English Journal
For the first time, I've asked the class to write their reflections on every English lessons in their English Journal. They seemed rather apprehensive at first but I'm sure with the journal, the pupils will be more aware of their learning process and take ownership of their own learning. I've read a few journals and I particularly enjoyed reading Yvonne's. She's organised her reflections into different categories and the things she's written were really interesting and I believe they came from her heart. I really hope that the rest of the class will get a chance to read her journal and learn to be organised in the writing of their English Journal.

Kindness Cheer Competition
Finally, the skirts for the girls are ready. I will be collecting them next Monday. I will also be getting some pompoms next week. I've received the schedule for the Preliminary Round on 16 March. MBS is scheduled to perform at about 11.30am. There'll be about 20 other primary schools competing in the competition. I really hope that our team will work hard (now that CA is over) to perform their best. As it is, I think they are doing a great job. With a little bit more effort and practice, I believe they can make it. To me, winning is a bonus. What's more important is that the team members will learn something from this experience.

I wonder if the boys have decided what to wear for the competition. I will be looking out for t-shirts to go along with the skirts. Perhaps yellow t-shirts. So, boys, think of something, will you!

That's all for now! Do look out for more updates within the next few days!

See you guys tomorrow! :)
